Went and looked at it today. To much money for my budget, but if a guy wanted to restore one of these from the ground up, this one you wouldn't need to buy much for. Nice dash pad for the age. Stearing wheel has zero cracks. Seat is even original. The tanks in the bed would have to go and it's a shame because he cut the moulding for the filler ports. Zero dents in the bed floor.
I really like the look of the bigger tires on it.

I've never seen them for sale in any color other than black, red or saddle (tan). I just looked at LMC's catalog online and don't see blue. Sure would help if I could find them like that.

I am like you Max, I have not seen them in any after market catalog that were blue, you will probably have to end up dying them. Here's an idea, you may try looking in some of the Falcon and Comet catalogs, it is a possibility that they may have them in blue.

I hope I always stay crazy, because I know if I ever become sane, it will drive me crazy.

Jaguar xk E type and Triumph TR 7 use an Identical armrest. Found a pair of used black ones at the shop I work at. I have seen black, tan, blue, and I think green armrest in the TR 7. 2 cars that may be a good source for used door armrest.

Looks like a nicely preserved pickup, no doubt it was used as a recreational vehicle most of its life, not a work truck.Low mileage, clean and the most refined year model of the series, makes it worth the price. These 66 camper specials were hard to find in the 1970's and 1980's before the internet, original owners rarely wanted to sell these models. Most trucks for sale back then were rougher work horse base models.I guess original owners are now in the 70's and 80's and their familes are letting them go.
The fact it was a 66 camper special is why I went to check it out. It has been repainted, so don't let the shine fool you. I have dissasembled a 69 camper special to the frame and am planning on putting my 65 cab and front clip on it. I was going to make it a flatbed. It would cost way more than $6k to finish, so I said what the heck, go check it out. For you guy's in the rustbelt, this is the type of vehicle you need to come buy. It's a two owner truck.

the bumpside owners have a far better chance at scoring armrests as the same ones were also used in the E-series vans till 90 when the body style finally changed.

Maybe it wasn't LMC. Maybe it was one of my other 10s of thousands of catalogs around here. I will take another look through what I have and if I find blue, I will let you know where to get em and how much they are.
