Finally got some pictures

Post by Brians1966 »

Started on the bed and my daughter was kind enough to get some new pictures, right side of the bed had one dent up front am finishing up on that now, , but found the left side had earlier work done on it at the rear-grinded out all the old bondo and replaced the rusted out rear lower with metal. painted the white and hope to start te red next week. will post more pictures soon.

i like how you made the center unit for the gauges and stereo and did not cut the dash. :2cents: :thumright: :thumright:

I think it looks great! Red and White is on these trucks is only second to black with a red interior. In my opinion!

Looks like your having fun!

Looks good, and the bodywork looks like you have a good start on it as well.

Dash

Post by Brians1966 »

Sorry I haven't replied sooner-lots going on and been really busy.
The dash came out of a 65 F100 custom cab my brother has, it originally had the round dash style. We swapped because we both like the other one.
Had no problem swapping it out. Finally got the slixx on the road and been driving it around some. Really enjoy driving it. We did make a road trip to Clinton Mo. and swapped out the beds. I retired from the FD the first of the year and will have a little more time to play - body work on the bed is minimal hopefully will paint it the spring, looking to do a disc brake swap also.
Again I apologize for not replying sooner.

looking good. I have that same air breather on my 240/300 and it is slightly undersized, not by much though. I questioned it on my own ride and learned that a 5x5 is more what i need for a 240 inline.im guessing you have a 300
