hello did they make a two tone paint with black as the base from the factory this would be for 1965 my vin says raven black and has red seat and colume thanks

Yes, that is the picture I was looking for to post for him. I knew I had seen the truck posted here before I couldn't remember who it belonged too.

65 Cool, if your truck only has the A code, it was never a two tone and was a solid black truck. Many solid black trucks had red and black interiors. Here is a Ranger that belongs to a friend that is solid black and has a red and black interior. To have originally been a two tone truck you would have a two letter code in the color code space.

did they paint code get two letters even if just the cab roof and back were a different color, or did it need to be the full hood, doors, bed to be a 2 digit code? I have marlin blue and white codes on mine, it's a custom cab, but only the roof and back are painted white. I didn't know if this was a cheap repaint or factory twotone

There were different two tone paint designs at different times but a two tone factory job will aways have a two tone code or no code if it was a custom paint color order. Hawkrod
