Look all of you, I live in Texas near the Gulf of Mexico. You are all going to look at those damn lights and like it whether you've seen them before or not, understand?

Only time we get to see stuff like that down here is when a refinery blows up or bubba makes one big firecracker out of 10,000 little ones.Image

I will never forget the first time I saw the Northern lights. I was in a C-121 Conny on the flight deck jawing with the flight crew. We were on our way to Alaska. Texas has a light show too, although not near as grand as the Aurora Borealis. Marfa Texas has its own light show called the marfa lights.

Seen them a few times flying across Canada at night from a plane. They are stunning from a plane.
It's a race.. Will hell freeze over or will JC finish his truck first. Stay tuned..

I've heard about the Marfa Lights. Got a good friend who owns a bar in Marfa called Padre's.

since there is no artificial light pollution (streetlights and stuff) near me i not only get a great northern lights but also on the dark winter nights all the stars/planets are very bright and there are far too many to even think about counting.

sadly none of them have sent any visitors yet to personally contact or abduct me. nor have i seen any of their vehicles.

i envy those with a good night view. there is so much light pollution here that i can barely see the brightest stars.
when i was up in rhode island one of the best parts of the trip was sitting out side at 2am with a beam and coke staring at the milky way and listening to the surf crash almost a mile away.
pure bliss i tell ya.
