Post by *motor*mount* »

To get on the police call list with my wrecker service but today the phone rang almost off the hook with people wanting personal tows the police called wanting us to get back on the list and triple a wants me to do road side assistance. I already
have the business form 2 shops and a car dealership . I'm going to have to buy another wrecker or 2 and hire more people. My 64 is also at work with me getting some needed attention. Till today I had no idea how busy ill be, but the phone is there now and damn! I don't even have a sine up yet. I'm already busy and I'm not even open yet, telling people I can't open till after new years. I think I did some thing good buying this business. A lot of people didn't like the fact I bought this. Do yall think I should moon them when I go to the bank next to drop off my deposit

Good for you Jim, wish you well with it.
I sometimes miss towing - it had it's fun points.

Don't worry, were I grew up at there was main state road that ran infront of my house. I've seen stuff that would make a lot of people throw up. One time I was asleep and some one hit the bridge infront of my house and the driver was killed. And the passenger was thrown through the wind shield and into my front yard. Oh I almost forgot, when I was in boy scouts the scout master then is now the chief of police in denham springs louisiana. I gess that's how they all found out about me.

We sometimes got to help "open things up". We also had to wait for the ambulance & EMTs to get done first.
I know what you mean.
I picked up an S 10 that was in a high speed head on once. Red truck with a red interior - it was built with a gray int though....................

ever see what happens when a live moose enters thru the windshield at 65 mph?

cleaned up all sorts of messes while towing, a lot of them unpleasant.

some days you rescue folks broke down in the cold, they are very grateful and you are a minor hero to them.

later that night you will go get a DUI impound, the next day a semi-sober idiot will be cursing you out.

good luck with it Jim.
