Hi, I have started to assemble my irs diff for my '64' and i want to share some photo's Darren.
au falcon diff,narrowed 4 inches,fitted with dutchman alloy 9in housing with 35 spline 300m axles,strange nodular centre,fitted with 4-11 gears,yukon ratchet locker,
I'm not sure how heavy it is.
my friend gave me a hand to put it on the bench before it had the centre in it,at a guess it weights one and a half of the factory 9in,
OK time for 20 questions - what is that irs out of? What does it look like mounted under the truck? pics, pics, pics! Man, I want to do this to mine sooooo bad.
Thank you, It came out of a 2004 au ford falcon xr8.
It looks really good mounted under it and with cut and shut I did on the rear chassis it dropped the truck along way,
i will have to look for pic's and I will post up
We don't see to many '04 falcon XR8's around these parts! Guess I'll have to settle for a t-bird or Explorer. Will wait impatiently for those pics, though!

Check into the MArk VIII IRS. I just sold the IRS out the Mark VIII that I took the engine and trans out of. I sold it for $150. I couldn't find anybody that wanted it so I let it go that cheap. They are out there if you look around.
