Not a Slick, not even a Ford but still a pretty cool ride.

You know the old adage " It's not how fast you want to go, It is how much you have to spend" I have seen many fast wagons in my time and I like them all. But my wife told me to stop bringing them home after the first on, I have had 8(none at the present time)

Wagons have been popular with drag racers for a Long time.
They are usually cheaper & easier to find and they actually have better weight transfer than a coupe or sedan; more weight over the rear tires static too.
I was going to look at a 61 Merc Comet 2 door wagon in Grand Island when I went through on my Sat route about a month ago. Somebody beat me to the car though.

oh man, my first family vehicle I was ASSIGNED was our blue 68 chevy wagon! ours had the genuine simulated imitation artificial wood paneling ..on the sides..

It had a 396 with a trailer package, holly double pumper carb maybe?
Anyhow that thing cost me more to drive to work than I earned at my part time job .. drove it during the 78-80 gas fake/shortage ...
