Front clip removal....

Post by 63Longbow »

Did a search for fender removal, what i'm lookin for is the process in removal of the front clip grill on back.
What started this i removed the rear axel replaced bearings, seals breaks breaklines and removed 3 of the 9 leafs along with the bushings. That went so well, i'm going to attack the front. Want to remove the grill inner and outter fender and work my way in......just how many bolts....and nuts are there, that hold that fender on?

Uncle Skip just recently did a posting about removing the front clip. It is in the hints and tricks section. This is the link to his post.

Hope you enjoy this proceedure, much easier pulling the whole clip then pulling it apart.

yes much easier to remove the whole thing and then dismantle it on the floor/ground.

Step one of a first time front clip take down is ...scratch and cut and bruise your whole body ...and cry rust filled tears !

Just having fun, read the listing of Skips for real help.

I will guarantee that you will find yourself pacing the floor with a hammer in your hand, mumbling cuss words..at SOME POINT !

Also go to napa walmart or your favorite auto parts store and secure at least 4 cans of rust buster brand penatrating spray. The 4 cans is just a suggestion depending upon where you live within the continuous united states or canada or anywhere slicks are found.
