I can't find anyone that sells them for the old slicks . I know I can have one made, but I would like to just buy one. Anyone know where to find one

NAPA used to sell them back in the day. I bought a few there.

I always thought the tailgates all the way up to 1979 were fairly similar?? If so, then if you find a company selling one for the later years should work....and if I was looking, it would be for a stainless one, as the chrome ones seem to turn orange before too much time has gone by:):)
I'm sure someone will pipe up and correct me, or confirm if I happen to be correct

James, I bought a chrome plated steel one from the ford dealer in 82 for a 73-79 ford truck to go on my 1st 65 and still have it on the red 65. They are the most durable that I've had. jim
