Blackagatha,thank you,i read a lot of mags and books to learn about stuff,i spot weld about 1" apart and aim for a weld aruond 1/8 ball shape.then grind the top of the off say half,then spot weld between the weld and the same process,and just need a light hammer and dolly , i try not to rush the weld and at the end i finish with a sanding disc then a hand file.

ricrob16.i have learned a lot from books but i do have mates that are panel beaters and i ask them questions plus i don't mind trying a much of my own work as possilbe

557f1 please post more pictures. I'm looking at the same repair. What guage metal did you use for the gutter? My sub structure is in great shape, gutter is shot right on the bend both sides. Thought about using lead, but think replacing it like you did is the better path to take.

Hi White97, i used 18 gauge steel and it has a zinc coating, i had to repair the rust in the roof and i didn't take much more work to repair the gutter to,i will try to work on my truck this weekend and i will put up more pic's

wow! I have just about finished,kind of,nearly done,
finsihed repair the RH side of the roof ,just needs a swipe of body filler now,

now started on the RH step,lower cowl ,cab mount and the floor.

I started to repair the upper cowl where the bonnet hinge mounts,
I made the repair section just need to cut and shut the section and the more grinding,

I should get more done next week,Darren

Darren, did you do the recess punching yourself?, it`s coming along nicely mate!, you will definitely know this truck inside and out!

Alan, I did the recess in the vice using a piece of pipe and one of the spuds I made, It was easy to do .The hole grew in size that I drilled for the threaded spud.so I will watch that next .The same can be done on the floor pans to. darren
