My new toy ! 1966 Ford Camper Truck

Just picked it up today ! 1966 Ford F100 4x4 4 speed manual camper truck with the original camper. Truck has 58,000 original miles and I'm the third owner. The truck came with a small paper trail. It was built in San Jose California and the camper was added by Malibu Campers out of Tuscan AZ. The truck was sold at Don Sanderson Ford in Glendale Arizona. The original owner moved to Michigan and passed away a couple years ago from cancer. I know I can get more info on the original owner from the past owner since they knew each other. The camper was loaded with pots , pan , propane tank , blankets / sleeping bag , 3 service manual collection , extra battery , bottle jacks , air compressor and other odds & ends. I also have the original owners manual too ! Truck does have some rot in the floor boards , door jams and front clip areas. The truck has a nice towing receiver and 10 rear leaf springs on each side. The rear gear is a 3:50 , it has front disk brakes and all gauges work. I have some wiring issues on the camper / rear tail lights to fix. I'm pretty stoked and couldn't wait to share the pictures ! These trucks are not an easy find , I've never seen another like mine ...here's some pictures to share with you !

Awesome man, it looks tall and short but I think it's the pictures or my monitor is in the wrong mode but it looks freaking fun and appears to be in great shape.

Your monitor is fine , tall and short would be correct ! The camper part is in great shape ! It does have a couple areas where water has leaked inside , I plan to seal the roof , windows and marker lights and redo the inside after I'm confident there are no more leaks. Camper part is 11 L x 7.5 ' H x 7 ' W

Looks like a blast, I remember as a kid my dad has a cab over camper and we took a long trip up into Canada and went to Swan Lake and it was a blast, I especially liked that you could go from the cab of the truck through the back window into the camper.

Yes ! mine has that open rear window into the camper , it's connected by a plastic bubble that snaps from the cab to the camper. I forgot to mention the truck is a custom cab also. I can't wait to hook up my car hauling trailer and tow my other 66 behind to carshows. That should turn a few heads.

I think I called about this one on craigslist. North of detroit? it sounded pretty good at a low price but the guy never sent me photos back.

Yep ! it was on Craigslist in Flint , Mi about an hour north of Detroit. The guy is not computer savvy , his daughter was in charge of the CL posting and uploading pictures. I got in touch with him the first day I called , but it took him a couple days to return my other calls. Luckily I'm about a mile from him , so I could go see it whenever needed. He had it parked way back in a condo complex, way off the road and NO " for sale " signs in the windows. So Craigslist was the only advertising he did to sell the truck , FINALLY ! something close to me , I always see great deals in other states.

Just found out who the original owner is , he lived in Yarnell Az and the truck was purchased on 1/26/66 from Don Sanderson Ford in Glendale Az.
