Thinking of putting the slick on the road.
I paid 3.64 a gallon today for my other brand truck. After I hear gas could get higher I'm thinking of putting the ol'slick on the road....sooner than I wanted too! Of course I'd have to make it safe to drive. Brakes, lines, body mounts, some wiring issues, trans & everything else. After that it should be a piece of cake. I'm going to fill the tires a pull her out of the garage sometime this week and make her run. single barrel carb with in line 6 has to be easier on then the 4 barrel 350 4X4 for now! Photos to follow.....
Good luck on your project Skippy.
Myself I was thinking about parking my slick for awhile. I found that once it was running I quit working on it.
Need to finish the doors & get started on the bodywork & paint.
Have a little truck that gets twice the mileage of the slick so I figure what I save in fuel could be going to supply's to finish the truck.
It will be hard to park the slick though It fits me like a glove. I don't care much for having to step down into a truck also but I need to get back to finishing the 66
