That was cool Skip.
I like how they just pull back on the track and stand on it after some of the minor mishaps (like going airborn!). Today's cars would be right in the pits.
BTW - I spotted the Slick fire truck.

i think most motor sports have gotten better over time. nascar is the exception. the 60's and 70's were the heydays. (jmho).

Thanks for those Uncle Skip . That was NASCAR at its finest not the Toyota 500 of today . I honestly quit watching Nascar several years ago when they all started driving the same cars with diferant stickers on them .

Really they have always been similar!, pick the difference between a 32 Ford and a 32 cbedsy 3 window coupes, then they both put lights in the guards, both had fat fenders, then they both went squareish. with our V8 super car racing, you have to know the sponsors logo or pick the badge on the grille to tell them apart!.
Honey, If I say I`ll fix something I will, there`s no need to remind me every 6 months!!

Thanks Skip, I enjoyed that. Riverside was a cool track, I just love the road racing. It may have been a 1965 race, but PJ was running a 64 Marauder. I like the old cars, but I guess I am in the minority about Nascar. I usually go to about 3 or 4 races a year. In my opinion, the racing is better today. It sure is alot safer and you don't see guys win w/ 52 second lead......thanks again, and I saw the slick too! dave
