howdy,long time no see

Post by uglyblue66 »

Howdy,I got to wondering about Slick 60's the other day when I found a Slick Stock tshirt I had bought years ago.
I thought I would look up the site and come in.
I am putting a short cut to the desktop this time so I wont fergit!
I got smart and got rid ef the wide wheels on my 66 and put the factory wheels back on it and some regular p235-7515's on it.Steers much easyer.
I have towed my camper with it the past couple years to the Denton threashers reunion. It got it's picture took several times and it aint a restored truck.Just a rough looking clean truck.
It has gotten to where I think the exhaust manifold is cracking again under the intake.Which lets it get the carb to hot and makes it run lean and such.I remember when I first put the 300 6 in it I had the the trouble of lame duck feeling and such.It is getting that again.
So I may need a good exhaust manifold for a 300 I6 in the near future.
Got settled with the insurance company a couple years back.I now have a 30x40 Shop with a wood heater and good safe chimmny.I had it 76 degrees at the opposite end of the shop from the heater when it was 23 outside last year:>)So it stays warm. But it is hot in the summer.
The shop took half my settlement but has rewarded me with a little extra side money from fixing tractors and such as I can.I have to pick and choose the jobs I can handle in my shape.
My retirement got cut in half last year so projects kinda get stretched out and take a while for lack of funds but I aint give up.
I look forward to reading some post on here and such.
I am wondering if Iceman and some of the others are still around.

that is good!

You know there was alot of threads and trucks I used to keep up with. But the 1 that stands out was a fellow that found a 4 door truck somewhere in the woods in Alaska and played heck gitten it out because of ice and such.I wonder what became of that truck? It seems it was a oil company truck or something?
But the bed looked funny from being short at the front.
Red and white or rusty white is all I can remember and it was very rough.
