I got this truck from my brother in June of 2002, he had it about 2 years. The owner before 6 months, and the owner before 15 years. Who bought it at a car lot with ties to Travis salvage yard. The reason for telling this is when I got it it was titled as a F100 vin# F10DN662986. I have traced this vin back to when it was bought new. I talked to one of the owners and he sold the F100 to Travis salvage yard. That is when the truck was first resurrected and sold at Travis auto sales. with the F100 title but it was a F250 4x4. The owners kept the truck for 15 years and used it for hunting and lord only knows what else. I wish I had pictures of the truck when my brother brought it home. Someone had put a long bed on backwards, no tailgate and aftermaket taillights. It did not take us long and that was changed to the correct bed. The cab floor had been fiberglassed over the mounts. When I replaced the cab the front mount stayed with the frame. This truck has been abused.

Gunmetal gray with pearl. The body shop owner did not want to paint it that color but he did. Said after it was all done he liked it go figure!

Well I got the title mess straight in Sept of 2004 while rebuilding and fixing the truck. Well the truck has been torn down and rebuild and modified. And is finally done, well maybe. Engine is a 390, front diff has been replaced because of bad king pins and to have disc brakes. Got the diff from a 77 Ford from Tom (Flashback Ford) . Rear diff has been rebuild and has a track locker with 3.73. I love those gears and I am running 33 inch tires. Don't need to go any taller than that. Cab is from a 63, fenders, hood and a long bed from a 65. Long bed cut down 6 1/2 from the front so the bed is 7 foot 9 inches. Inner fenders and lower valance from a 66 1 ton. I finally got it painted in early Sept of this year. It has been a long road, only had Saturday's to work on it. And still had to drive 72 miles from my house in Wilson to Oxford. And then only if everything else was done and my parents didn't need my help in Oxford. I finally drove it home on Oct 29 on the way home I hear this noise like a bearing squall. I stop and check it out but find nothing. I am only 10 miles from the house so I drive it on it squalls of and on the next 10 miles. So I check it on that Monday find the alternator has rough bearings so I replaced it. Test drive the truck and still have a bearing squall so I check all oil levels and find the transfer case has no oil in it!!!! So as the truck sits right now I have the transfer case removed and all the bearings out and are going to be replaced. The bearings really didn't look that bad to have drove 72 miles pulling a trailer must have been the synthetic oil that was in there and leak out. Still don't know why the oil leaked out, but I did find out where it leak out. It lost all the oil at the body shop and the owner failed to tell me!!!! Well the bearings will be here soon, got them from Jeffs Bronco Graveyard $153.00, Napa price is over $300.00.

Great pics and nice work. Great job making that bed fit the shorter wheel base. Nice color looks good on that body style. The radiused wheel well openings look good too.

Thanks for all the compliments. I still have one more thing to show but I need pictures of the dash and would like to make a video of it. But the truck is parked at my work so I will take pictures on Monday.
