Actually, Alan was correct in his lingo down under. They call dugouts "dams". It drove an Aussie friend of mine crazy when I said that the dugouts in the pasture are low or we need to dig some more dug outs. He told me that it was bloody obvious that it had been "dug out". They are called dams!!!

Apparently he didn't like Texas gates either. He said that I was nowhere near Texas and they should be called "grids" like they call them down under.

WOW!!! I'm a Tennessee trans-plant, living in Arkasas now and I don't know what the heck you guys are talking about. I always thought a dugout is were all the baseball players went to wait their turn to bat!

When their in their little `Dugouts`! they look more like humpies to me!, but lets not go there!, what are they spitting out all the time?. I went to the National High school Rodeo finals in 2001, in Springfield IL, and the young blokes there never stopped spitting, heck after 2 spits I`d be out of gollies!
