anybody use either of of these brake kits?

I used the Speedway kit on my 63 Unibody. The kit was a good buy for the price.

The Ebay one and Speedway use Classic Performance Product's brackets.

CPP is excellent (except the instructions).
I did this "How To" because of the instructions;

I think I was the first one here to do the disk conversion on a straight axle truck and back then, the only option I could find was ECI/ Hot Rod Brakes kit. I was very happy and the kit has served me well. Some of the newer ones seem to be a little cheaper to buy and I don't have anything to compare mine to. They all look pretty much the same so go for it.
I'm not arguing with you. I'm just explaining why I'm right.
Pardon me. Does your deaug bite?

I was wondering I did a disc conversion on my 1965 using the newer Ford spindles & Ford calipers, and I think that such a conversion as this one you state would be LESS time consuming and hassle, is there such a conversion like this for a 1965 using the factory spindles?

ordered a set of classic performance brackets. priced it out can do better that way and get to sling some cash to the local parts counter getting the calipers and rotors ect... thanks for the heads up on the brackets. have used scarebirds bracket kits on my 64 galaxie xl and the 64 dodge 440 with good results.pick out the boooster/master & the line lock tommorow and order them up .

Just installed the Speedway kit on my kid's 64 and it all fit perfectly. Had to grind a little off the calipers to clear the brackets but the kit instructions said I might have to. The brakes work great and I also installed a master cylinder and booster I bought on e-bay. Together I have safer brakes for my college bound, slick loyal, kid. I recommend it.

Anyone install the speedway kit without a booster?

Does it still work well?

I would assume it is still better, but wondering if the booster makes the biggest difference.

I was hoping there was a cross reference for things like Master cylinders, rotors and calipers, and you could just buy the brackets for the calipers.

Does anyone make these kits (as in does anyone have any experience with) for my '61 8-lug F-250? I hadn't thought about upgrading, but they sure would be a nice safety upgrade? I'm going to start searching ... :D
