I know what it does, just don't know the name to look for another one. I've been calling it an isolator.

Forgot the name my self. Ford used these to keep to many wires from the relay and positive battery post. Painless has them and likley summit as well. I'd try cable connector or cable junction on ebay.

Battery isolator, I sold one to Blackwaterforge last year, I stock about 10 at work, but we're closed thru the 3rd. The one I have is NOT an exact match, but it works. Hit me up after the holiday and I'll sent you a pic or try asking Blackwaterforge on his opinion on the one he got from me.....

Whenever I go to Pull-a-Part in Nashville. I grab a bunch of these. The small ones are on most full size 80's and 90's full size vehicles and the long ones with 5 lugs are on full size GM pickups from the 90's. They are usually found on the right side upper firewall. Pull-A-Part charges me $1.50 each for them.

yes they are.

you can only fit so many wires on the battery side of the starter relay so the block is used.
