and IMO it's just as well that owner stays anonymous. That truck has been around for a while, even in LMC's calendar last year. Doesn't do a dang thing for me. Next to Black Gold, on the bottom of the Klinker list. Least it has the right year of grille, even my least favourite year tho.

I'd rather have YOUR old truck, 20 times over.

It was in one of the truck mags a few years back. Has a camaro sub frame and a chevy 350/350 drivetrain if I remember right.

Ya know, it is just a shame these guys build such a gorgeous Slick, only to defile it with that
Blowtie crap. Candy Brandywine is awesome paint, and the air bag job on the suspension is cool. But the builder had a major league brainfart. When will these "people?" figure it out?

Ahhh Yes!!! I remember Black gold fondly.

I wonder where that wonderful relic is these days, don't forget about the parrot. The three biggest putdowns here to be Black Gold, the green slick from ebay at 10 grand and slicks with chevy engines. We hit 2 of the 3 with this post anyone want to add their 2 cents about this truck and slam the green ebay machine?

the only bad thing about it is the front end doesn't camber enough when aired out, so it looks like it doesn't have any wheels from the front.

You mean you actually want to see excessive negative camber?

What ever floats your boat man. I have never wrapped my head around "aired out" flat on the floor cars and trucks. Now don't get me wrong, I love lowered cars and trucks. BUT I also like things to work and look like they work. I want my truck to look just as bad ass flying down the freeway as it does sitting in a parking lot.

Come to think about it, I don't care about sitting in parking lots all that much. Carving the Durango Curve on I-17 at 120+ is more my thing than parking lot posing.

Eh, to each his own.

I had rather have my old '65 also JC.

I haven't been doing much of anything JC. Just hang'in out, trying to stay out of trouble and watching the progress of the Slick 60's.

Man it has been raining here forever and it's suppose to rain straight for another 8 to 9 days.

The camber shows tha mount of lift you are able to get when aired up, so someone with 2600 bags with standard 4.5" lift designs a suspension set-up that uses angles and pivot points to get 7" of lift... The amount of camber shows how much travel you are able to get from your suspension...

Besides you only have camber when your aired out, when you air up the camber is set to what ever you want.

As for cornering, the right system is able to corner with the best. Get a self leveling system and dial it in and you won't get the body roll you get from soft coilover suspensions, then when your cruising with your girl run the PSI lower and drive it like a love boat... Then when the guy behind you gives you the bird because it used to be his chick... air out the ass at 50 mph and shoot sparks all over his lame stock s-10.

You must think I'm some sort of rube. Trust me, there is going to be very little in the world of suspensions you could pull off that I haven't seen or tried.

I have done air suspensions with over 12" of travel that rode like OEM. I have done stuff that scraped, handled and rode all on one car. Not too terribly difficult for anyone to pull off with some minor enginering skills. It's old hat to me and not that interesting anymore.

Still not interested in parking lot posing and I am in no danger of losing my girl to someone whos truck throws sparks. The chicks I'm into aren't interested silly gimmicks to get thier attention, get it?

The original builder of the red truck in question is a good friend of mine and VERY active member of NC. If you see Tito, tell him his beard brother says howdy.

I've been doing this crap for 20+ years... So I'm an old fart, I love playin with trucks still to this day, hot chicks with short attention spans is just a by product.
