The 64 loaned her it's tires & wheels for awhile.
It needs a set of tires and I'm out of scratch after buying the truck.
Might look good with something similar to these and about 3" of drop.........

I know some aren't fond of this era of F series but I actually like them really well!
This one makes #3, lol - First 2wd one for me though.
Yea I already started improving it, pulled the crappy faded mudflaps today, removed "what was left of" the black striping.
Yea, I'll be posting more pics............

i love that gen f truck. those and the "nite" series were kind of the test bed for the lightning trucks. you started to see mono chrome paint jobs and unique styling hints that led up to the "L"s. plus, the efi windsors were really reliable and the interiors were more spacious than before. also the flat front ends went away with that gen. what's not to like?

The 03 VN 64 was a fair amount lighter in color,
not entirely different though.
Yea the other drivers used to make alot fun of it too,
right up until I passed them doing 70 on a steep grade while they creeping along with their flashers on at 38 MPH, LOL.
Turned up Cummins ISX and a 13, truck would haul ass!

Nice ride Greg! I have been keeping my eyes open for something similar to that in an
extended cab or crewcab F250 or 350 longbed to put this other big flatbed on I have.
No big hurry on that, but I am always looking. TR

I drove one of those Volvo sleepers, rides like a Caddy, steers like a F150.

There was 1 flareside Lightning built for testing only - it looked great in Yellow!
I actually like the color it is though.
If I lower I won't do it like the photoshopped pic - I'd just do 2" down all 4 corners and leave the rake in it.
It would look good with a little drop.

I still drive that era truck everyday but it is an F350 flatbed. I still like that era truck.
That truck looks to be in good shape but I can say that I might not be real fond of the color. :P

I love that generation of F series. Ive had two. The interiors never get dated looking and the front end looks massive in a rear view mirror.
Someday I'll get another slick :(

I am actually considering outlets kinda like that in front of the rear wheels - want them on both sides though.
I like these;

Wondering if Fox Mustang shorties will fit this thing too, stock ones are to be had cheap.
I have also seen them with the argent recesses in the grill painted body color - that looks real sharp as well.

Anybody know of a good forum for these trucks?
