Casey, I gotta tell you....

It is NOT for the faint of heart ! hahahahha

You know what my uncle said to me when I told him about this truck? He is an old time hot rodder .. he said all you do is wrap 2 inch tape around the posts where you want to cut them.. and remove it from the posts. I told him we had already cut four inchs.. he just said "" Oh !" as in " Oh sh*t" hahahha

I wouldn't recommend it for anyone that doesn't like experimental bending, slicing, and welding.. and doesn't have a spare cab ;)

The templates are a minor if any advantage, I can try to find them and trace them,

I will say this, it was INVIGORATING cutting the lid off kids perfectly good cab that we had ALREADY repaired the floors and door posts in... not knowing if we could put it back together...

still makes me shiver...

Looks awesome, but when you start thinking about chopping tops, the difficulties list is LONG (angles, more angles, glass, door window frames, etc., etc.) From the pics, it looks like y'all did a great job.

LOL, I'm contemplating cutting up my near rust free cab I got from California desert... I keep wondering about cutting the glass as well as the metal...

Looks good. I read an artical years ago on doing this. Lots of pics and tips ,but not a word on the windshield. Has the glass been done? I think that would be the diciest part.

I have a hard enough time just getting done normal things wiht body work. If I starte dcutting things up, I would end up with a bunch of pieces and no truck.

Cutting was the easy part,( well not the very first cut ). Hard part was welding it all back together and after so many years remembering where everything is now, I think all the parts foodstick was missing he came out here and stole all mine.
