Frame Zing question

Post by lo6fo »

Im getting ready to start planning the rear suspension on my 64. I'm planing on a 4 link airbag setup. I was wondering if there is any science behind zing the frame. Do you want to avoid the stepup being at 90*? What's a good recommended angle? Any tips on doing this will be appreciated I'd like to make it as safe and strong as I possibly can.

Well if yoou are doing a traditional Z then you will want to cut the frame at 45* so that the back will sit ontop of the front and give plenty or area to weld back together as well as gusset and plate :D.

I guess I shoulda specified that it's not traditional. It will be zed enought to clear the real axle while the frame sets on the ground.
