Great job on the truck. what kind of wood is that in the bed and where did it come from?

The wood is pine I got from home depot and staind with a red oak. I used a table saw and was able to get the right knotch's and fit.

I went the cheap route this time, but I think it will work for now.

Are you using a kit for the A/C, or piecing something together? If it is a kit, what brand?

It is a kit that came from Nostalgic Air Parts. It has AC and heat and it had all the engine brackets for the 292,hoses, and everything else I needed to install it.

It works pretty well, but with the truck being black, and 100% metal, it can take a little while to get cooled off when it has been parked in the sun.

That's ok tough stuff to find truck looks awesome glad to see you kept the 292 it just fits these trucks

Well, it's actually a major grafting effort of the first truck, with a frame, cab and bed that I got from different slicksters in and around Houston. All other parts are from the original truck.

With the help of some great slick owners around me, I was able to create something drivable.
