I am gonna call my buddy Bill BBdriver for this thread, I am not actually sure if he has a registered name or not, though he has an opinion on most things, he is not one to post much.. so here are a few pics of his truck as it is now. This won't be going down to SS 5 ... but he WILL be there, and making a parts run as well....
he has recently got it running much better, and it will probably start getting driven a bit after SS5, as that usually gives EVERYONE a giant kick in the pants/overdrive for about 2 months !
The planes are my buddies, he has been flying for probably30 years or more.. since grade school he has flown control line and everything else !
And yes Rick, that truck is pretty dang solid. It was owned in the past by a auto bodyman, so I don't know if there is a lot of good putty work underneath, or it is just straight !
the tailgate looks 1000 times better in the pics than it is though.. Its a disaster. He is going to scratch build a rolled gate...does anyone recall WHO it was that sold the rolled gate outer skins? both BBdriver and I have lost the link to that sheet metal vendor....
Ok, after a messload of small jobs, projects, and side of the road fix-its, We got BBdriver on the road Saturday! Plenty of new pics for you guys of a new family member
Good deal Bill. Good to see it on the road again. Sometimes I wish I had bought it instead of calling Bill but am so glad he is enjoying it. Sorry I wasn't home when you guys stopped by. We need to make a Saturday cruise and spend the Day just driving around..........Kid
There are some Days I should not be let to go into the public without adult supervision
Way to go, Bill! Enjoyed talking to him at SS5. That is a nice Uni, too.
I was thinking how much higher his is than yours Lance. Amazing what CV suspension does
for altitude. Looks like it could be a driver to SS6 don't ya think? TR
