new here wanted to post up some pics of what my truck looked like when i bought it im 21 am lovin my truck. 8) no cab rust on bodymounts or floor only one spot on the right cab corner

Are the wrong beds & short beds the same wheelbase? For some reason I thought the axle location was off a bit? Maybe it was just the crewcab I'd looked at…

As far as i know the wheel base is the same my truck was a short bed just had the bed style that is on the 57-60 think its called flairside. i found a swb styleside in pretty good shape for $300 going to look at it tommorrow hope the bed floor isnt to bad .

I put a 64 SWB on my 63 and it bolted right on without any modifications, other than what I wanted to change. 8)

i think the shorts are the same, and the lwb were a few inches different.

Lee your truck is a styleside Ford just didnt make a styleside bed that matched the front of the truck till 64 most likely due to them planning to sell more Unibodies and them thinking that most would buy a Unibody or a Stepside and a matching seperate styleside bed wasnt that important . Thats my thoughts on it anyways .

Rick, no i live in colorado and thanks for youre input you are correct sir.

On another note i got my truck bed paid $280 and about 40 in fuel and its in fairly good shape :) i got my old bed off yesterday evening and put the swb on and it fits very well. pic's to come

Looks good to me the next problem is which Patina do you try to match . Paint the bed to match the cab or paint the cab to match the bed :D.

i have not yet decided a color but i do like the white, all i know is i will be doing lots of body work over the next few months.
