That sounds positively heavenly! I'd love to have a place like that. :)

Congrats!

Very nice looking property.

My best friend's wife and her family is from Monroe, LA - or as he calls it, Funroe, LA. They own some timber land down there.

A few years ago when you couldn't find a Wii on the store shelves, he called me from a Walmart in Monroe at Christmas time and said "they have 10 Wii's in stock, deer stands are sold out.

I had never even considered having a place on the water. And had never even considered "owning" part of a lake. Most folks here who live in the country have a "pond" if they have any water, which fills up when it rains and then goes dry when it doesn't.
Sitting and watching the water is surely a nice way to relax and de-stress. Nice way to start the day with a cup of coffee.

Here's a picture of the lake this morning:

The pool is another story. It's black and nasty. My pool guy friend says he can bring it back, but I've got to get a new 220 electric line run to the pool pump before we can tackle that. It'll be a spring project at the earliest.

BTW: Thanks to all for the nice comments. Looks like it will probably be spring before we will be able to have a party, but will keep you informed.
If you understand what you’re doing, you’re not learning anything.
