stock wheels. what tires?

Post by bawrencher »

Help, i put new shocks on the "63" last weekend & when i was removing the fronts i noticed that the left tire hits the drag link before the stop hits the axle. The PO put P235 75 x 15 tires on the 5.5" steel wheels. Is the wider tires the problem or could it be something else?

I am not certain about 63, but in 65, the axel has an adjustable stop that can be set to keep larger tires from rubbing on the wrong places.

Yep, just adjust the stop out far enough to keep it from rubbing.
