I would like to get my JY front sway bar installed this weekend in my 66 2wd.
Some questions:
I dont think installing the sway bar involves anything that will take the front end out of alignment, is that correct?
I dont see the holes in my frame rails for the brackets. How do I figure out where to drill them?
One of the frame rail brackets was bent to hell, is there a universal replacement bracket available?
The bar is off a F100 Dent, what size bushings do I need? Is the bar diameter measured in inces or mm?
I would really like to replace all my front suspension bushing, but the alignment is good and I dont want to screw with it until I have to.

You need to measure the diam. of your bar to see what size bushings you need.
mount your end links and end link mounts first then install the bar and see where you bushing brackets fall , then mark your holes and drill .

I did mine the same as Hunter, mine came off a '78 350 and I didn't have any problems at all doing that way.

Re: Front Sway Bar Install
I'm doing mine as we speak, the big questions are:
1. Do you have the Disc Brake set up yet (73/78)? The radius arms should have a notch on the end of them.
2. Did you take the cups that attach to the radius arms and then to the swap bar links, off the truck you got the sway bar from?
My sway bar is from a 78 F350 there are 3 sizes of bars, so Autozoe says 15/16th 1 inch and 1 and a 16th.
This is my 3rd or 4th swap and it's well the effort.
Parts list
Sway Bar
Sway Bar Links
Radius arms with notches, the older raduis arms don't have the notches, to match the cups
Cups that attach to the I Beam/Raduis Arms and Sway bar links
New Bushings

Ahhh, I forgot about the notches.
I have a 75 parts truck that I intended on taking teh discs from, but not now, my drums are new so im going to ride on them until I get a few other projects done.
Im working on the Slick and the misses 65 Mustang, at my age it takes twice as long, now I have twice the amount to do.
This weekend Im trying to tint the windows on the west side of the house and cutout and install a headliner in the Slick.

Make sure you take a big hammer and a couple of 1 1/8 wrenches. It took Skip and I three hours to get the whole set off, it's worth the effort.
I'll try to post pic's as I do mine.

Re: Front Sway Bar Install
The swaybar came off a JY Dent. It was pretty easy to remove, there were so many oil leaks coming off the thing that I didnt even need the PB Blaster, everything was nice and lubed.
Ive hit the parts truck a couple times with the PB, but I havent taken anything off yet.
