just a little update. the 351w is going into the shop to be rebuilt. lots of pressure building up and oil blowing out the breather at higher RPMs, oil leaks everywhere, rear main seal and such. should be back in action in a month or so is my guess.

yep, the readings were low on one cyl, and there were mixed on another after doing it 3 times. they think one is cracked and moving around which is why it gave off different reading each time (big swings, not small numbers). I was gonna have a new gasket kit put in, but the shop said not to waste money and just rebuild it the right way so they don't blow out and leak again in a few months. walls looked good and top of pistons looked good through a scope so i'm going to have it done right. the c4 was rebuilt a few years ago. should be good as new with the exception of some steering links that are getting a little play.ICEMAN6166 wrote:compression blow-by past the ringsslickmainer wrote: lots of pressure building up and oil blowing out the breather at higher RPMs
