Stock parts pricing?...

Post by milldinaire »

Good morning all. I have A 1965 f100 SWB. I have recently tore out my suspension, steering and brake systems. Upgrading all to Crown Vic. I'm curious if there is any value to these parts. I have a complete Dana 44 with 3.something gear ratio with a traction lock. Leaf springs and all the mounting brackets for complete rearend. Nothing cut. Also have complete front twin I beams, brackets, brakes and soon cross member. Original Brake booster and master cylinder all working. Manual steering box and tie rod. Also one of those heavy duty step bumpers in great shape.

I'm just wondering if these parts are worth putting up for sale or just selling them for scrap. Any info would be great.

Thanks.

Other parts soon to follow.

Depends on the price of steel. The rear end should be wrth something to someone, but I was not aware ford ever put dana 44s in 1966 f100s. Std was the 9 inch with a dana 60 2 as the traction lock option on camper specials. I've always upgraded to disks over drums. Doesn't hurt to try.

Yea, I'm not sure about that either. Mine's a 65 styleside 2wd dana 44 with posi traction. Not sure that is what the factory called it. So I went with traction lock. :burp:
Thanks.

I think, since I'm doing a cv swap. I'll use the eye beams to hold the frame straight. Instead of wasting good square tubing. :D

Dana 44's were standard with limited slip. They are somewhat common. Hawkrod
