front clip bolts??

Post by eddieschopshop »

have my front clip off my 64 taken off.. in the process a couple of bolts broke, stripped or got misplaced..

i want to put the the front end together soon and i was thinking of just replacing all the 49 year old bolts/nuts..

the main ones that i would like to replace are the ones where the front fender bolts on to radiator support. the nut is somewhat attached to radiator support. i have no idea what that type of nut would be called..

does anyone have an idea what size those are? or what there called?

thanks in advance

5/16-18 or if they're fine thread, they're 5/16-24.

While you're there, might as well pick up a half dozen 5/16" cage nuts. Might save you a trip!

You might check at www.mcmaster-carr.com They probably will be cheaper than Graingers.
