my new bucket.

Post by ezernut9mm »

it's not a slick, but i figured i could get with kenny and start the slick60's galaxie auxiliary.
pretty much laser straight body with almost no rust. just both front mounting pads with some perforations. nothing major.
all the trim is there except the beltline half trim. needs a headliner and window felts.
y code 300 hp 352/3sp.

I'm proud for you. Only thing, Kenny doesn't have a Galaxie (long story).

Man, I hope that roof is flaked man so you can get on the HAMB and like man talk about your flaked roof man. " Man, my baby needed diapers but man I had to flake the roof man. Man I got no electric or water man, but I had to flake my roof man. Man I am like stoked man about my flaked roof man." Thanks, MAN.

man, it is not "flaked" ,but sure is a pretty blue. however, my nostalgic steering wheel is. that's got to count for something. lol. there are some bugs to work out, however, i am really loving this thing. i gotta decode the warranty plate because the rear gear has to be a stupid low 2 something. 2nd gear in town for anything under 35 and 3rd on the highway is wow. she loves 75mph. just loves it.
eventually, i am thinking about going a bit more stock. keeping the stance, but doing it right. one solid color, but probably not the original whatever blue it was. ditching the pipes and spots and chroming the skirts.

Chris is still a youngster. He had another 30 or 40 years of car buying ahead of him. I'm sure there's a Mercury in his future.
As "blue" as my blood is, one car I've always wanted to own is an Oldsmobile Convertible. Had an Olds, but wasn't a convert.

I had a 82 Olds 98 Sedan, nothing exciting, just a luxurious cruiser. Regent gray with dove gray interior. Wonderful car.

Chris you posted a Blue 63 Merc when you were selling the truck. I thought that was the car you wanted to buy.

ah, the marauder. i guess it sold 'cause the ad has been gone for a while. there is a red and black s55 buckets and console still wearing bias ply tires on joplin c/l, but maybe it was the pictures because it just didn't have the appeal that the blue and white one did.
