We Got Iced!

Post by Truckrat »

Friday evening December 20 we got an ice storm that came through laying down about
1/2 to 1 inch of ice on everything. Weird part was the roads only got slick on bridges and
overpasses. Marla and I went out all day Saturday Christmas shopping and all the roads were just
wet. Lots of wrecks happened all over town, but all on elevated roadways which freeze first.
Saturday morning we woke up to this.....

The tree on the left was dead and I have slowly been cutting limbs off it when I have had time, but old
Mother nature decided to give me some help. Looks like I will be busier than I had planned to be now.
This is Sunday the 22 and we are going out again for a while. Guess I'll get around to cutting these up
later. Anyone need some oak firewood? TR

Beautiful, though lousy to get around in.
Working on a '66 F100 with a '71 240 and the original three-on-the-tree...

That is just weird. Never seen anything like that and hope to never see it. We have had 28 inches of snow this season most still on the ground, and -30 temps. I would much rather have the snow and cold anyday
