Removing the in bed tool box

Post by themickeyd »

My 66 CS/CC has the in bed tool box and I need to remove it for a while to install the camper tie down. I see the bizzillion screws around the opening but it can't be that simple. . .Can it? So is there anything hiding that I cant see before I rip into it?

After the bizillion screws around the front, there are a couple more that go through the floor of the bed, and into the top of the tool box. I think once you get those out, you should be in the clear. Look under the truck, on the sides of the toolbox, too, just to be sure.

Good luck.

Don't forget to look at the top back rail of the bed as well as the sides and bottom.
