good taste in vehicles

Post by PJtheRat »

but bad choices...

This past weekend, someone decided they needed to go home in a classic. Several hours later, after failed attempts at the classics that are here at my apartments, a motorcycle disappeared.
This was after busting a vent wing on a nice '70 C&*## & being stopped by a kill switch, popping the lock on both my Fairlane & the truck (the Fairlane's battery is dead), leaving my truck in the roadway where he apparently was trying to push-start it after butchering the wiring harness (I thought everyone knew how to hot-wire a Ford).

The intermediate result, a taped-over window in the neighbor's C^&%*, my truck resting against an 8*8 block with its critical under-dash wires dangling like multi-colored spaghetti off the edge of a plate & the busted switch & other pieces on my kitchen counter (no significant other to say "OH NO YOU DON'T"), the Fairlane only pulled apart a little bit, but the motorbike is still gone.

A "little birdie" gave some clues, but this coming weekend will provide more drama, I'm sure, while I am out refabbing a harness with modifications I had wanted to do anyway; talking with my neighbors, more info will come out. And if this particular individual shows up again, there may be some surprises, he has made some others mad as well...

I do find grace in the fact that the vehicle that he chose to spend the time & effort with was my old Ford pick-up... good taste I think, too bad he was such a dummy...

I think the only surprise should be a .40 between the eyes. I'm sorry but I have no respect, patience or forgiveness on someone who maliciously messes with something that doesn't belong to them, let alone any Ford, Chevy, Dodge or even a frikkin LED'd out barking Honda or related project that countless time and money has gone into so some poor deadbeat can come along and destroy it.

Ahh, that felt good. Think I'll go have an ice cold RC Cola now and watch some baseball.

aw, son of a bitch.
he really made you a nice headache....

Yeah, I'd probably kill the hell out of him if I ever saw him come around again.... at least severely injured.... Not sure if I want to kill somebody over it, but I would definitely express my sincere dissatisfaction of his actions...

how nice is your truck? is it just an old truck, or is it something that might be exceptionally juicy for a thief?

Not sure how/what I would do, but when ol aggie starts looking a little more like thief-bait, I'm gonna have to install some semi-lethal booby-traps.

Like starter motors that swing samurai style swords if you piss her off, high voltage contacts up under the dash maybe, high voltage door button... the list goes on

that truly sucks.
glad i live somewhere i dont have to worry about my trucks while i am sleeping. heck i never even take the key out of the ignition unless i am in a big town and go into a store. not that anyone could get near it without waking up the dogs who of course would then wake me up too.

There has been a LOT of garage breakins and cars too on my street.
I added lots of lights and locks to my property and got a dog.

A nice one, Springer spaniel, high strung and good with kids but territorial.
I had springers when I was a kid. I like em.

Someone got into my garage twice in August.
My neighbors caught two guys and later my bro in law caught a vandal.
The breakins continue. Someone is going to get shot pretty soon.

A guy I know went to the race track and when he and his 3 brothers came out a guy had knocked his window out and was in the car prying the radio out. They passed him around and kicked his ass stupid. He tried to crawl away and stuffed himself under a car. They let a bunch of air out of the tires and left.
Someday I'll get another slick :(

After the loss of my second CD player out of my 66 (It cost more to replace the wing window than the CD player) I went down to Target and bought a baby moniter for about $35.00. I hooked it up outside under the eve on the garage and into the VCR in the garage. If I went out and nothing was amiss in the morning I would tape over it the next night. I enjoyed the day when I took the tape down to the cop shop and watched as the arrested the guy down the street. I told everyone within a couple of blocks about what had happened. No problem since.

that's a hell of an idea....

Some asshole was playing with my truck a few years ago... Parked in front of the dorm... They figured out how to pick the shitty locks with a couple of paperclips, the first time, they moved it all the way across the lot.... I'm sure they had it running- shitty aftermarket switch couldn't have been hard to jimmy....

They screwed with it like 5 times total, but I had a club on it after the first...
But I had bought a wireless spy camera, and hung it on the sunvisor... Sadly, I think the damned battery froze up from the cold, because halfway through the night, the feed shorted out... never did figure out who the hell it was... Probably some shitty "friend"...

Did any of you guys hear about that old man that shot some kids while they were vandalizing his vehicle? I heard he didn't get charged with anything.

This week in Amarillo TX is exceptionally bad as this is the week that comes once a year where Amarillo High School and Tascosa High School have their football game against each-other. Essentially the genetic rejects at both schools decide that it's licence to go about egging cars, smashing windows, breaking mailboxes, shooting windows and tires.

My F250 superduty has been egged twice sitting out in front of my house. Both times I had to fork over $1000 for paint work to cover my deductible AND take a hit on my rates. Hell if they threw water balloons at it I wouldn't give a damn. But the eggs just RUINED the paint.

Almost makes me want to camp out in my front yard in my Ghillie suit and scare the bejezuz out of any kids thinking about messing with my property.

Yep you can get away with shooting someone who messes with you or your property in Texas, but up here were we have the right to own a gun as long as its all locked up nice and tight and you've had the appropriate courses to prove you know which way the bullets come out. We can only shoot you if it is directly connected to our own survival (and thats iffy too)
We arnt even allowed to hook up a Model T coil to the door handles incase some thief has a pacemaker and you accidentaly kill them.
But there is a lot to be said for a good length of air hose and a few minutes behind the shed with the culprit.

Teddy doing a wango tango on that interviewer huh? LOL

Yep DocDave is right. I was told by a guy in line to be Calgary's police chief, a few years ago, that if you found someone robbing your house , and you shot him, you'd better make Durn sure he's dead, because he could sue you. I ain't sure the Nuge is all Cat Scratch Fevered.. guy's got a point..
It's a race.. Will hell freeze over or will JC finish his truck first. Stay tuned..

yeah, I remember a few years ago, I heard about some son of a bitch falling thru somebody's skylight as he was trying to break in, and sued the owner for having a dangerous skylight in the roof.

I think he was suing because they DIDN'T kill the hell out of him...
If I was at home and caught somebody inside my house, They would experience the wrath of a homemade medieval-looking broadsword....

It's currently not very sharp-I had to dull it down and never re-sharpened it; (it was a school project), but it weighs at almost 10 pounds... and at least as sharp as a dull axe... If nothing else, it would be a good impaler.

If I just messed them up with a baseball bat or something, I'd probably use a big bicycle U-lock to secure their head to a post. Maybe beat on them some more...

Thankfully in Texas you're immune from criminal or civil penalty if you were found lawfully protecting yourself or your property, or even someone else. The castle doctrine is official in Texas.

Seriously though, Ted Nugent is my freaking hero :p

Nugent is awesome. I never realized HOW awesome till yesterday. Anybody that doesn't agree is an idiot... Bad guys need to get killed, good guys need to kill them and not get killed.
