using the cops to harrass

Post by bigtrip460 »

my neighbor called the "safety office" on my truck. "Johnny Law" came knocking on my door telling me i need to turn it around so I dont get a 30 dollar ticket. he expessed that he had better stuff to do but the neighbor has been calling non stop for weeks about my truck. he also said she didnt complain about all the other cars and trucks parked the way mine was so he noted that I was being singled out. anyway its loud as all hell, sitting on drag slicks, and have to rev it to get it to move due to tranny problems that once it DOES go it takes off like a hole shot. SOOOO... the cops watching and it keeps backfiring and dying and isnt "street friendly". luckily he was cool.

anyway, I am not upset I has to move it as technically I was parked illegally, but i AM a bit peeved about being singled out, ya know? I counted 6 cars parked that way just on one side of the street from my house to the corner.

BOOOOOOOOOOO. That kind of crap pisses me off. Now if some sort of CC&R states a statute and everyone is treated the same, then well you can always move, but when the Old Bitty Committee comes and complains about one persons vehicle or vehicles and ignores all others that are parked the same as yours that is bull shit. Luckly the cop was a good guy. He could have been one of those guys that needs to fill a quota. Wait. Cops don't have quotas :oops:

i had a neighbor that had a huge boat, he would go fishing and come back at 11-12 at night, well of course you have to wash the engine out and stuff so he would run that dang boat motor for 30 min, i never said anything, then one day i installed headers on my 390 and was running them open .. of course..during the day even,, he actually called the cop, they did a drive by but never stopped, that made him mad so he come out there to let me know he called the cops on me, i almost decked the guy, i unloaded on him, from them on every time i seen that boat pull up i called the cops, they would show up just as he got it going, after about the 3rd time of having to shut his engine down without the "proper wash" and getting 2 different tickets, he changed his habits

BT, I'm guessing you know how I feel about the whole thing. I am still catching up details on my Uni that coulda been done BEFORE it was assembled had it not been for a PITA neighbor. Found a 65 Fairlane HT I am thinking about picking up to do Gasser style, the nosy neighbor should like my open fender well headers off a big block if I buy the car, lol.

PITA neighbors

Post by Truckrat »

I have neighbors that let their kids play the car stereo as loud as it will go hooked up to a big amp and big subs hooked to it. They get out in the yard and look like idiots trying to dance, and I laugh my ass off every day I see them. What I get bent out of shape about is when they do it at night when normal working folks have to sleep. They are oblivious to anyone around them, and think we all want to hear that S----t. So.............I figure I'll do the open header serenade every morning I can that they keep me awake at night. If I could get under that car I would just cut the ground wire on the battery, but it is too low and I'm too big. Anyone know where I could get a light saber? TR
