Floor Pans

Post by racerx1699 »

Who has the best floor pans for a 66? I have seen prices from $40 to $100 per side. I'm looking at doing my floors soon and want to get good ones.
Thanks

I bought mine from Obsolete Classic Auto Parts for $69.95 each. I was told that they are the same gage as factory. I was going to buy from Carolina Classics because I believe they have good parts but when I asked what gage of steel the floor pan was he told me a thickness that was a little less than what Obsolete told me. So........I bought mine from Obsolete. Sorry that I can't remember the thickness of each. I would call both and ask them if they know the thickness of the floor pans they sell and ask them if there is anything different with their product than other vendors....Size, shape molding pattern...etc.

Carolina Classics 1-800-598-4211
Obsolete and Classic 1-800-654-3247

Both places have been helpful to me.

PS.....Obsolete is local and I didn't have to pay for shipping. However, I would pay shipping if I new for certain that the product was better. Just make sure you call and talk with each vendor and see how they answer your questions. Good luck and let us know what you find out. I'm sure there are many more wanting to cut out cancerous floors in these old cabs.
