I agree with Banjo picker... Bein in their early to mid 40's, these girls are set in their ways about their names. The ol girls don't want us goin and willy-nilly slappin a name on her. Don't call her somethin she don't like. These girls have a mean streak. If you piss her off, she'll kick you in the ass.
I had my truck for most of seven years until I heard 'Agatha' whisper her name. Almost too quiet to be heard. I may not have gotten it just right, but I think it is pretty close if that's not what she said.
Agatha seems pretty fitting for her... She's sweet yet vengeful, beautiful, in an ugly knd of way, and just straight-out creepy at times. Kinda like the stories by Agatha Christie I guess.
I think the darker, mysterious names are more appropriate for these girls. Kinda like when I think about "Nadine", all I can think of is the lady in Stephen King's The Stand.... a vivid character. (and I'm not going by whatever they made her look like in the movie, I haven't seen it)....
Beryl makes me think of the fictional author in The Gunslinger series by King... Kinda creepy....
Ya know what I mean...
Cute names seem to be misplaced when applied to these ladies...

Colors and sizes work at our place
Ditto to that. I don't have any one name for anything on this farm. Most of the time it's "C'mon Baby" when I'm crankin' & hopin' and not so nice names when whatever I'm messing with won't start.
With my wife and two girls all driving, it usually works out to labels. "The green truck" works for my '66 longbed with the camper cap, even though it's two tone. "The big truck' works for my '66 F-350 since a 1-ton seems pretty big to them.
Just wait till I turn up an F-600 flatbed or dump - probably make me sleep in it...

My 76 F100 was my Dads truck (who passed away 7 years this weekend) & I always have & always will call it Dads truck. My other toy is a 63 F250 with a supercharged 545ci ford (845hp,780lb/ft) turbo 400, Dana 60, 2 wheel drive standing on 37/15.5-17 tyres up front & truck super singles(495/55-22.5) down the back that stands about 7.5 feet tall so the kids refer to it as dads monster truck. So that will have to do until I get it on the road & come up with something better.

Yes I do have lots of pics & will get some good ones on once I sort out how to do it all as this is my first time on a forum or any internet chating. You know one of those type with one finger. The only regret is i didn't get any pics when I first bought the truck only once I started to pull it apart.

Berryl
Right now she is scattered around the yard in pieces, so it is too soon. I am sure, like Skip had said, that she'll speak to me and let me know who she is in due time. TR

Alan, you never mentioned Berryl was a flatbed. Cool! My 65 is a flatbed, too,
TR, We call them tabletops over here!, were the flatbeds after market jobs or were they an option .

Alan, my 63 F250 was also a tabletop when I bought it & by the condition of the bolts & timber I would say it's a safe bet it was original it even had Ford tail lights. A question I have about mine is being an f250 with the larger wheel archers & full floating Dana 60, should the rear have been a dualie as it only had singles with short studs.
