Steering wheel

Post by FarmTrk »

Hey guys I am in the final stages of my project 66 F-100. As part of that project I added power steering and kept the original steering wheel. I think the standard steering wheel is about 16-17 inches and with power steering it is really an overkill. I would like to go to a smaller steering wheel of stock design. Does anyone know if Ford had any smaller steering wheels that would fit sthe F-100.

Does the Falcon have the same wheel, or is it smaller?
I'd bet that would fit.

I put a Falcon wheel on my '66. It is the same diameter.

Falcon also works with "F series" turn signal cancel cams plus it fits signal housing at top of mast jacket too.

I know this because I used a 66 F-350 mast jacket on my 64 Futura 2Dr HT because F-350 had a Granny tranny and
no column shift lever. I used a floor shifter on C4 I put behind a 351 in the Futura.

This applies to Meteor, Comet Falcon & Fairlane of 65 & earlier vintage.
