Pets
Were petless right now, my dog died of old age,and the cat disappeared. Its a hassle around here, had to keep the dog tied all the time to keep him from getting in a fight with the neighbors dogs. plus their dogs and cats were always coming over and gobbling up all of our pets food ,so not in any hurry to get any new pets. I dont like buying food for all the neighborhood critters. I do miss having pets of my own though.
this is my putter tutter. her name is samantha. we call her sammy for short, or samantha-pantha. we adopted her from the humane shelter in september, after she had spent 6 months there. she's fit into the family very well and has claimed everything as hers, including the truck as you can see in the pictures

and this is her chillin' with sirius

Sounds like you need a good fence, Lowell!
...or a wall...
Oinklette, that looks like a great cat. Don't ya just love how cats look like "they own everything they survey" with looks like that?
Until a few years ago, I had a cat that loved to go on car rides...you know, like a dog! I've never had another cat do that.
Often, when I'd leave for work, he used to sit in the middle of my hood, facing forward & wouldn't move from there until I stopped (usually halfway down the block) & brought him in the car.
I'd usually take a lap around the block & drop him back off again, so he felt like he got to go somewhere that day.
It started getting out of hand, when he'd go for rides in neighbor's cars, unbeknowst to them!
Once, a neighbor called my wife while I was at work & said "your cat is on the roof of the gas station down the street, we didn't know he was in our car." That was an interesting day.
He was one of the coolest cats I've ever had. He used to love to go on walks with us, too...although usually after we got a block or so away from home, I'd have to carry him, because he was in "unfamiliar territory" & would be a little worried for his safety.

my first cat, punky, once actually got stuck in the inner fender of my dad's truck. my dad rode to the military base where he worked, about 20-30 minutes away, with punky stuck there. luckily, my mom is a speech pathologist and the school she worked at didn't have school that day for some reason, and my dad called the house at around 9 in the morning saying he had punky. he said that he stepped out of the truck after parking and he heard a frantic "meowmeowmeowmeow" from underneath and looked, and punky was staring right back at him
my friend's cat, rowdy, loves to ride in cars. when you visit her house, you have to be careful to exit your car as quickly as possible because rowdy is sitting there waiting to hop in. he'll hop right in and sit on the backseat and look at you with a "excuse me, driver, i'm not here to wait on you" look. when you leave rowdy will jump on the hood and not let you go unless you give him a ride. hehe. trying to get him off is pointless though, because he'll run from end to end if you try to get him off. so you're stuck looking like an idiot playing ring-a-round the rosey with the cat on the car
The Dog Star
That's exactly what my cat used to do. The only thing left to do was give in & let him in for a ride.oinklette wrote: when you leave rowdy will jump on the hood and not let you go unless you give him a ride. hehe. trying to get him off is pointless though, because he'll run from end to end if you try to get him off. so you're stuck looking like an idiot playing ring-a-round the rosey with the cat on the car
How old is that cat? Maybe it's mine reincarnated...mine died about 4 years ago. I always swore he used to be a dog in a previous life.

This is Blue. (Brindle / Red nose mixed pitbull terrier)

This is Skylar, my full blooded papered American Bulldog.(Who is currently in heat
)

I brought Blue home when my friend who left him running around the neighborhood offered him to me, ever since then he's been a good dog, still a lot of puppy left in him. My aunt gave Skylar to me because she had to many dogs, and Skylar turned out to be my favorite of the two. We have the same personality.(Always watching tv and drinking beer) The neighbors cat had adopted us but unfortunately Blue didn't want the cat in his house. (The dogs allow us to sleep in their house so we will feed them new york strip steak.)

Last December, my sister called me and said "do you want a puppy?" Well I had just moved into a 1400 sf house with 2 1/2 acres and thought to myself " that would be so cool to have another pal to hang around again. after my huskies I decided to not get anothero ne until I had somewhere for them to roam. so I started asking questions, and This one was a stray her friend found " he walked into their garage" and nobody could find the owners, no missing dog notes, no body walking around looking no ads in the local for him. it was like nobody wanted him
so I go look at him and he was so cute, but he looked very malnourished his hind 1/4s were sloping down because he was weak and couldnt hold himself up very well, he was tired and sleepy all the time. I think he was being abused, he is afraid to go through folding doors but sliding doors are fine, he doesnt like tile or the top deck with wood on it. scares him so bad he shakes like a rattler. anyways I bring him home, get him to the vet, Vet says he is about 4 1/2 months old because of where he was with losing hisp uppy teeth. he gave me discounts on the bills because I took him in. he weighed in at 32 lbs. I take him back 3 months later he weighed in at 63 He is a newfoundland with maybe a mix of something else, I am actually thinking he is all newfie but cant say for sure. he has become the greatest dog he knows I saved him and he has so much room to play and run.
now the cat on the other hand was not too happy but she has become accustomed to him
I named him Ben after a old Celtic warrior who was known to be so big he couldnt fit in a house
( Bendegeifran)
1 Newfoundland goes for 1000 Euros ( mine was free )
1 russian blue Cat goes for a 1000 USA bucks
(she was free as well)
I also now have a wild bullsnake about 4 feet long in the yard he has been taking care of them ice, hopefully he will get the freaking gophers too.
I just need some fainting pigmy goats and an orangutan
Here is ben when I got him

and this is him about 3 months ago, the newer pics havent been uploaded yet but hes even bigger now I am guessing 75-80 lbs
