You know what, I can't keep up with the prices either. When I started my job I have now I paid about 5-10 % of my paycheck to gas. Now its at least 20 %. I drive almost 100 miles a day round trip to work. Its a shame that I work on computers for a living and now I am begining to think I may be better off quiting and sweeping floors for a living at walmart. It keeps this going and I will have to do something. I blame the speculators with their greed and the elected officials for the mess we are in. I personally have developed the attitude to vote the incumbents out. The biggest trouble to things turning around is the three, soon to hopefully 2 turds wanting to be our leader. Between the liberal left and the relegeous right by butt cheeks hurt.

Don't forget the earth lovin' greenies out there, who have made it so we can't even look for new oil sources on our own land.

If it starts to rain, they'll tax the splash.
If you want to fish, they'll tax the bass.
If you plant a yard, they'll tax the grass.
If you don't play nice, they'll fine your *$#!

I guess treehuggers like paying high prices for gas because they dont want to let us drill oil here... :D Politics are horrible and that is why I hate it.

Unfortunately not everyone has oil in their backyards. :D Might as well buy into some oil company stocks and just make your money that way (IF you know how to do it correctly and make money off of them).

I hear you on the gas thing, the owner of all the local "toot-n-totums" has got us paying some of the highest in the state . He has some kind of deal worked out with the "other disutributor" , he gets the city, everyone else the interstate, I-40 stay spretty busy but he also owns all the check cashing places and his sister is the mayor, go figure. furthermore when he was questioned about why gas prices were the same on the high income / low income side of town, he said that "those people" should have made better life choices and then they would be able to afford 3.79 a gallon . What an ass. It sux even more because TX has got enough oil to last a couple hundred years , why export?

They export because the government is making money off of this. If they drilled oil here then the cost of fuel would be so cheap and then the government wont make much off it and have less control because then they know that we know that gas is now easier and cheaper to get.

never thought about it taht way, that the govt wants all the ludicris tax money so they would never let us have cheap gas...

I hope the new crap politics decide to actually help the crap economy and allow us to use our own oil. If they dont do anything else for the good of the country I hope the POS candidates coming up spur a little drilling.
