Who sells windshield replacements nowadays?

The place to talk Slicks. All we ask is that discussion has something to do with slicks...

Who sells windshield replacements nowadays?

Post by Cucaracha »

I looked through the index but didn't see any current purveyors of replacement windshields noted, saw a reference to DW602 as a potential code for slick windshields, but am looking for a reference on where to find a replacment windshield that a local glass shop can order from and then install it.

It's a race.. Will hell freeze over or will JC finish his truck first. Stay tuned..

I believe the one in my parts truck is a replacement, it's tinted. Point is you may have that option. My local glass shop can get it too, told me $225 installed, $240 if they also install the stainless moulding.

Quite a few people have them...LMC truck...NPD...you name it....just order it and you can have any glass place install it or do it yourself.

good to know. I need to get mine changed out... caught a pebble on the freeway about a year ago, and it split vertically about 4 months ago when it just started getting warm.... it's right under the mirror...

Lucky for me, ma says I have comprehensive glass coverage thru my insurance (allstate)

are you guys positive that you dont have that too? I dont believe we are paying extra for it...

Pilkington makes the glass. Where I don't know. I would never try to get glass from LMC or someplace like that -- have a local shop that does this for a living. If some place says they cannot get it, try a different one. If you are having trouble, post back and I'll drag my lazy rear out to my truck and write down the Pilkington number and then you will be armed with information for the next place.
