'62 Uni 4WD(?) SB on St. Louis Craigs List.
There appears to be a '62 SB Unibody 4WD on St. Louis Craigs list for $1000.00. It's the 4WD part that I am not definite about. Description does not say, but the picture looks like it's a 4WD. Also says "One of 400 made". Don't know what to think of that. http://stlouis.craigslist.org/cto/906946698.html

ah, the great pumpkin again!
I, like Linus, believe in something not many others do and while i would love to say Yes, Virginia, there is a factory 4x4 uni,but sadly the burden of proof has not been met.
much has been spoken of this topic, many naysayers exist, but i do believe. i just need proof.
i was in Missouri this year. them folks have a saying
show me !

i dont think it looks any higher than mine.
not the best of pics.
he said his g/f posted the ad and he realized there was maybe some confusion.
he seemed reasonable to talk to and is not asking a fortune for it anyways.
might be worth looking at if you lived close and wanted a uni.

Not too sure where these guys come up with those production figures, since Ford themselves never sorted the unis out of the bunch in their own figures.
it's probably someone told someone, who told someone else and the story gets contorted. But its a good bet that even 4000 would be a low figure on long unis in 62

It's a race.. Will hell freeze over or will JC finish his truck first. Stay tuned..

think i may have posted this before
info is from Ford Pickup Red book
not going to type it all, just the 4x4.
the book is cheap and easily found.
1961
body style 80 platform 4x4 f250 = 78
81 chassis/cab 4x4 f100= 180 f250= 359
flareside 4x4 f100=2498 f250=1671
styleside 4x4 (uni?)f100= 255 f250= 149
1962 no separate 4x4 totals
if the 61 info is correct (i do not make any claims, its from a book)
then there were possibly 404 uni 4x4s made.
since the totals are extremely low it does lend some credibility to the possibility.
