I`ve been a little busy lately!
Since December started I have.....
Finished my degree (now I can use those neat letters after my name)
Sent all my stuff on a truck with people I dont know to a place I`ve never been.
Lived in my own house as a guest on a mattress on the floor of my office for 2 weeks (my son took over the place and moved in with his wife, kids and belongings)
Drove over 7500 k across the country during Christmas (Christmas day was spent crossing Manitoba)
Landed in a strange place with strange people and spent 2 nights in a motel that was a bit different from what I expected.
Moved into a house that was a bit more rustic than I expected
Found out that washing machines should be drained before being exposed to extreme cold.
Spent 3 days arranging furniture, setting up and generally making this a home.
Found that empty nesting for the first time in 30 years is a plus
BUT
I miss my Ford!! (had to leave it back in Newfoundland with my son who said he may `play with it a bit`
I think I could handle all this if I can find another slick.
I saw a few on the drive, maybe theres one hiding somewhere behind a house.
I`m goin huntin!
Dave

If it starts to rain, they'll tax the splash.
If you want to fish, they'll tax the bass.
If you plant a yard, they'll tax the grass.
If you don't play nice, they'll fine your *$#!

Well Thanks everyone!
I wont ship the 65 up here, it still needs too much body work and there are no facilities up here (population 800, that includes the Bison)
I left my son enough equipment to probably finish the truck and he's an electronics installer so If he does play with it he'll trick it out for me.
I saw a few nice old Fords in Northern Alberta that I may just take a trip for if nothing is available around here.
Not alot of snow here (maybe a foot) too darn cold to snow.
I think I may look up freezerburn when I go to Yellowknife (350K away)
My degree is in Archaeology but it's knida the wrong weather for diggin.
Darn right empty nesting is great, after 30 years it turns out we still like each other, go figure!
Thanks again for all the great comments, it's nice to know everyone cares

Archeology cool that's what our oldest child does.
The company she works for does a lot of road and pipeline stuff and I always enjoy hearing about there adventures.
Hopefully y'all won't have to put up with as much stuff as they do around here.
It seems there's always someone thinking they are going to find the hidden gold stash from the
civil war that should belong to them.
Or they are going to scare off that monster buck or disturb the spirits of the area that there working on.
Funny how folks can be sometimes.
Again congratulations Dave and stay safe & warm up there.
