Pics of New '64
The all white Uni in the write up is the same truck I have now. The brake swap was done before it had the Rustoleum attack and the new wheels & tires. It also had a 223 in it then not the 292 it has now. One of the reasons I went ahead and did the disc swap is that the early front drums are very expensive and hard to find. It also ditched the single action front wheel cylinders. I did a dual MC conversion before I even drove it with the drum brakes though.

Are you asking about my mono leaf springs?

I at first pulled 3 leaves from the stock ones, then went to the monos, LOW was the goal. The monos ride is worth the $ by far though.

I am doing the truck period correct hot rod (or about 90%) so I wanted to keep the straight axle. I did consider a 03 up Crown Victoria front end swap though.

For the time, I am keeping the 292 and front end. I want to enjoy driving an old truck as sloppy and sluggish as it may be. I will accumulate my wish list and work on it during winter months as to not waste nice weather driving with it. Hopefully, by next summer, I will have it finished. I plan to keep the paint scheme inside and out to keep the look original with a drop of course. It is a conversion for me and 13 year old son to work together over the upcoming years until he becomes sick of being with me.
