429 MOTOR SWAP
I AM SWAPING A SMALL BLOCK/3 SPEED, WITH A BIG BLOCK 429 WITH A C6 TRANSMISSION WILL I NEED A AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION CROSSMEMBER THERE DOESENT SEEM TO BE ENOUGH ROOM FOR THE TRANNY MOUNT TO ATTACH TO THE CROSSMEMBER ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATFULL KR COTTER

Cotter, what year truck are you putting it in?
'64 and earlier will require modifications.
'65 and '66 are very easy if you use the 460 truck mounts '73 - '79.
Also for '65/'66, you will need to remove the secondary crossmember, the one that fastens to the ends of the radius arms.
Grind off the rivet heads and pop them through.
Remove the upper mounting bolts, and it comes right out.
The existing transmission crossmember will work just fine as well.
But that is only for '65 and '66 - '64 and earlier is much different.
'64 and earlier will require modifications.
