So I went with Magnaflow dual exhaust.

Of all the suggestions given, (thanks everyone), I decided to go with the Magnaflow exhaust, along with bigger pipes. Makes the 292 sound AWSOME!! Just the old school rumble I was looking for! :rocker: I also took JohnnyC's advice and brought them towards the rear so they weren't under the cab. He also installed an H pipe as well at no charge. Bank acct's empty but I'm happy. woohoo.gif

Nice! Did you use headers or ex manifolds?

What part number or size on the Magnaflows? I may use those also as I need mufflers. Mine is a 65 so they should work. your set up looks good.

Thanks guy's, Charlie, I'd like to put a vid of the truck on here but being on dialup, it's not possible.

I'm just running the stock manifolds but got rid of the crossover pipe and blocked off the one manifold. No room for headers aka: steering box.
Rams horns weren't in the budget yet.

Jakdad, part # is 11225.

There should be plenty of room for headers if you're using the stock steering box. Is it stock?
You might want to hold out on that purchase, anyway. One of the guys at Y-blocksforever will be doing some dyno tests soon to see how different intakes, and exhaust (manifolds and headers) compare. It should be interesting. Pretty much any manifold or header he can get his hands on will be tested.

Charlie, when PO transplanted the 292 into the truck, seems like He got the engine mounted somewhat to the driver side, so there's lots of room on passenger side but not much on drivers. We were lucky to get the single pipe through. There's also the 3 on tree linkage in the way. I'm also going to have to 90 degree the brass fitting on the fuel pump as the fuel hose is close to the exhaust pipe, although, He put a bit of a heat shield there.

I belong to Yblocks forever, so I'll be watching for those tests. I think I could still fit the rams horns in there.
