09 Harley V-ROD for Sale
Tommorrow morning I am taking possession of an 09 V-Rod I won in the Harley Davidson Visa Sweepstakes...........Believe me, I don't believe it either.
Anyway... It is for sale as I am pretty much old skool an I think I can put the bread to better use. If you or anyone you know is interested let me know. I think it will be a smokin deal for someone.... I am asking $14000.00 for it. The MSRP is $14999.00. If you live in the great state of Az you don't pay sales tax buying from a private owner so you do the math...pretty good deal for an 09.
Its vivid black and the warranty will transfer. I do plan on riding it at least 150 mi. ....after all I did win it and I have to take possession so I think I owe it to myself. So let me know???

About the only harley I would like to own... Congrats on winning the machine!
I have a friend in phx who in last week or so won a contest for 50K!
Knocked on her door with the 50k check towards paying of debt, credit cards and other bills first then toward the home mortgage. what a deal.
A good way to do it instead of just spending it off on something you dont need.
DId I mention pics of the Bike...

If a Vrod is the only Harley you would own. Then you really don't want a Harley. Nothing wrong with that. Just not for everyoneBackyardResto wrote:Its tomorrow! I see alot of them - not my style. I could have spent about 5 grand less If I had bought the V Rod too, lol.Jonas wrote:

I couldn't really even look at anything other than this one when I bought it.

I have ridden a couple VRODS. One which was rented from the HD Dealer for the weekend. Fast Bike, Real Fast. I would not take three of them for my RoadKing.
The taxs on that VROD could be 5 or 6K before all is said and done. Uncle Sam is the real winner.

Well I finally had some time to get back to this post.I have to say, no matter what you post on this site, it is usually met with some negative or opposite opinion.......no surprise I guess. And thats OK.
I have been riding since the 50s and I prefer Harleys and I have owned a few in my time and I still do own a few.
When Harley came out with the new V-ROD I was pretty impressed with what they had developed. Of course not enough to make me go out and buy one but I figured with all the folks out there who are totally against motorcycles I was happy they are able to develope newer ideas.
After riding this new seat I have to say ,Harley did their homework, it is an awesome ride. Fast, smooth and big fun.
To me there are three different kinds of Harley rider, the air cooled guys, the V-ROD guys, and the Buell guys, all from the same motor company.
I think its great that Harley is that diverse because if they don't jump in with newer and maybe better ideas they may not survive and its because of this we all still have a choice. Like they said in their ads in "89", Things are different on a Harley.
350,000 mi on this old butt and still riding
