Not one Slick in sight

The place to talk Slicks. All we ask is that discussion has something to do with slicks...

Not one Slick in sight

Post by Long63 »

Went to the Virginia Beach Car Show today and not one Slick was there. Had everything from homemade car to the latest tricked out car on the market by the Big 3. Old stuff from the '30s, '40s, 50's, etc... AND NOT ONE SLICK! Trucks, cars, motorsickles, and not one 61-66 F series. Disappointing.
Pics in my album. Not sure how to post on a thread.

Its spring get your stuff out there. (I'm talking to my self here) (not you).

My wife's ride was the only slick at our local car show first weekend of April. Ok, so the part of it we could load on a trailer :)

Kind of hit & miss around here. There are some nice trucks in this area - 2 of them are members. I will go sometimes and I am the only one there, sometimes I see one or two.
I always invite them here if I can.

I was at the cruizin for a cure show in Dover, De Sat. There was 152 vehicles registered and I actually got a top 25 trophy. Biggest surprise I've ever had. I had the only slick there. I'd say 3/4 of the trophys actually went to Fords too. Pretty good weekend all in all.

bottom line and you guys that drive yours every day notice more that others but we might as well be driving Edsel pick up trucks! because people just don't see that many of these around and it turns heads and that's why I love taking my out when I can. decided to have a friend pick mine up again! to get it in the rained out show date that's coming up because I can't make it because I have to go and make more money so I can drive my truck! damn

But there were slicks at Knott's

Post by MY OL 66 »

This past weekend, we were at the Knott's Berry Farm All Ford Show in Buena Park, CA. There were over 1800 Fords of all years and varieties in attendance.

There were only 3 slicks there that I saw.

There was a black 61 uni that was extremely street rodded.
There was a baby-blue 66 shortbed 4X4.
And finally, there was a black 66 shortbed CC/Ranger.

I have pictures of the CC/Ranger that I will post to my album when I get a chance.
