More Fairlane progress
Simply beautiful Phil! Making me wish I were still driving the semi so I could stop by for a ride in it. The bright red, the black & white interior - absolutely a great cruiser! The wheels & the scoop add just enough to the car too!

The Fairlane is looking great. The guy that is painting my truck has a Mercury GT Spoiler (about your year) in there getting ready for paint. The owner claims that it is one of 1100+ that were made. I understand that it has a 429CJ that belongs in it.

Thanks for the kind words. I am looking forward to the 1st drive.
Its 1 am and I have been messing with the lighting
After that and bolting up the bumper, seat belts, plates and insurance I could drive it but it needs a to have all the leaks fixed before Ill trust it.
There are a few major hurdles left, a new white top and the doors have NO parts for the windows installed. (I figured what's the point without a roof?)
I will get on all that soon though as cash permits. The hoodscoop is a cheap swapmeet deal and I busted off 3 of the mounting studs installing it. That will be a priority or it will blow off at 50mph.
Honestly, if I can make it safe and somewhat dependable I think it will end up a great car. I can live with most of the paint and body issues and if I can score some parts later Ill just paint em up and swap em on.
I am looking forward to doing my truck. The only thing is its a heck of a lot heavier to push around
